Biologists and related scientists perform basic and applied research to make bigger knowledge of living organisms, to administer natural resources, and to build up new practices and products related to medicine and agriculture. They are working in both laboratory and field settings by governments, ecological consulting companies, resource and utilities companies, chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnical companies and fitness and educational institutions.
